The Corymbia Ficifolia or ‘Summer Red’ is part of the broader eucalyptus family, and thrives in infertile, sandy soils but is readily adaptable to most temperate locations, provided it’s not exposed to severe frost or sustained tropical dampness.
Perfect for the home gardener, as it is hardy, moderately fast growing, and rarely grows large enough to require pruning. With its large glossy green foliage, and brilliant red flowers which display on mass in Summer, they really pack a punch when in full bloom.
